AARON ZULPO
My interests lie in narrative painting while creating complicated imagery by segmenting space with natural and artificial barriers. The goal is to always entertain in a relatable fashion while satisfying my need for a complex image space. I lean to towards popular subjects in films and novels create entertaining narratives. When It’s all put together I hope to have achieved something which is spatial complicated while being intrinsically elegant and engaging through the use of colors and patterns. The narrative ends up being the cherry on top.
Aaron Zulpo, born in 1985, is based out of Brooklyn New York. Zulpo’s first solo exhibition was with 308at156 Project Art Space in 2012. From there he has gone on to work on private commissions and curate shows in New York and Hong Kong. In 2016 Aaron showed at VOLTA NY and in Pulse Miami Beach where he was honored with the Perez Art Museum Pick. Currently Aaron Zulpo is getting ready to do a number of group exhibitions this year and for a solo exhibition at Visions West Contemporary in Denver.
